The Gateway 100 volume output is lower than my FM radio or CD player. Is there any way to increase the volume?

If you experience lower volume with your Gateway 100, please download the 2V and 4V volume configuration files (one of these will help). Copy these files via iTunes to your iPod. These files will be located on your iPod at Music/Genres/_Config/GW_Menu/Volume level.
Follow the steps below:

  1. Connect your iPod to the GW100. Make sure you are in iPod GW (gateway) mode so that all controls are available via the Head Unit
  2. Disconnect your iPod and select the 2V volume configuration file and press play
  3. Connect your iPod to the GW100 (you have 1 minute left to start the procedure)
  4. The volume configuration procedure takes about 2 seconds. When finished, the next song will be audible on your car’s speakers
  5. Turn the Audio System OFF, remove the ignition key and wait about 20 seconds. Turn the Audio System back ON
  6. Test your Audio System. If the volume output is still lower, please repeat steps 2-5 with the 4V volume configuration file
  7. If the problem still persist, please use a different iPod and repeat these steps

Important note: The mentioned volume setup procedure works only with iPod. (touch and iPhone are not supported)
Please note: These volume configuration files work on Gateway 100 only.
