Dension IVA (iPod Video Adapter) enables you to watch videos from your iPod or iPhone (including iPhone 4/4S) on a separate screen, either in a vehicle or at home, while providing battery charging for the iPod or iPhone.

IVA is a simple iPod adapter which can transmit video signals to any screen with a composite video input (that’s the yellow one), while playing the audio signal through the car speakers. This could be the original screen in your car, an aftermarket screen e.g. in the headrest, or even your television at home.

The audio is connected by the normal RCA cables (the red and white ones) so the IVA can play audio tracks with no video content also. If you use a 3G capable iPhone, it can even stream You Tube or freeview TV in the car. There are two video outputs and the IVA has a built-in singal booster, so you can feed the signal to two screens with no quality-loss. It has never been so easy to watch videos in the car.

Note: In some countries it is illegal to watch video content while driving. Irrespective of legality, Dension strongly recommends against the use of any product in a way which will cause driver distraction.

Control at your fingertips

The IVA works as a video splitter and booster and comes supplied with an iPod connector cable. Control of the iPod remains at the click wheel or touch screen and your device continues to charge while it is playing.

The IVA can be powered from the car battery via a fixed installation or cigarette lighter connection (if you want to take it out of the car once you are finished) or a standard DC connector (not supplied) if you want to use it at home.

Seamless Integration

The IVA module itself is less than the size of a CD case and will be installed securely out of sight behind the dash. The iPod connection cable can then be routed to a convenient location in the vehicle e.g. arm rest, glove box etc.  Dension products are all designed so that there is no need to cut cables.

To use the iPod Video Adapter for in car video playback, you need a screen in the vehicle which has a composite video input.

For use in a home application, a TV with comp video and RCA inputs for audio is needed, or if you have a SCART socket on the TV, a composite to SCART adaptor can be used.
